HeelsHouse is named for its location in the Tar Heel State
and
the owners' love of all things Tar
Heel. The interior of HeelsHouse with its Teak looking wood walls, 14 windows, and oak built-ins,feels more like
a yacht than a house. Most days, about high tide, one can sit on
the covered porchand watch a ship "cross the bar" and head
up the Cape Fear River to Wilmington. One can actually see the ocean from 11 of the windowsand
most days, one could actually turn off the air conditioning open
the windows and enjoy the ocean breeze.
Main Salon: Watch the waves
& the beach through the triple window over the dunes to the beautiful Atlantic. Sectional sofa and swivel chair are perfect
for watching the beach or a DVD.
Captain’s
Bedroom: Look out at the beach and ocean or Cable TV or
all three without even getting out of the queen-sized bed.
Mate’s
Bedroom: The mate also gets a queen-sized bed just
not quite as good a view of the ocean.
Crew’s Bedroom: What crew would
not love to sleep in this room with a single over full bunk and their own DVD/Cable TV
Galley: A
new fully equipped kitchen features lots of oak cabinets, and a galley table with swivel chairs. Have your morning
coffee while you watch the waves, or feast on fresh local boiled shrimp that you prepared.
Covered Porch: Everybodys
favorite place at HeelsHouse. Enjoy the
breeze in our Teak Rockers out of the sun.
